my virtual journal

• this has been an interesting week for sure. highs and lows but also learning experiences. living with 18 people has been a blessing but also has brought me to the realization that i alone time is so important. ive been battling alot of shame this week, just in awe of how my Father is capable of forgiving me no matter what i’ve done and is redefining love for me. until i take the time to truly ask Him for forgiveness, i won’t comprehend it. ive also been diving deep into His word and it’s awesome to see all the dots connect. i’ve been able to hear the Holy Spirits voice more than ever before & im thankful for the friends in my life who taught me who He was before i came here. i feel like i wouldn’t be able to truly process everything the Lord is doing without knowing the Holy Spirit.

this past week we’ve been at a carepoint, that one of the teams on my squad has been going to, we just all joined to one care point. ive been missing my care-point but we’ve been working on putting a soccer field in and it’s allowed me to spend quality time with a few people on my team. ive met some people on this trip that i’ve really been able to connect with. faith, who is such an amazing person & absolutely hilarious & caity, who seemed so quiet at first but has a heart of pure gold. i get to share a room with both of them and we are just constantly pouring into each other. we are actually going on a roadtrip right when we get home to take faith back to texas and stay there for a few days. i love friendships that direct me to the Lord. matt, who is also on my team, has become like a brother to me and has taught me so much. i’ve never had a brother but i definitely have one now.

unfortunately all of our beds have some sort of bug issues and we’ve all been getting eaten up by some sort of bed bugs so i look like i have chickenpox haha. my birthday is this week and i for some reason dont feel excited but atleast i’ll be 20. i think its hard because this is only my 2nd birthday without my mom and also i love when my family takes me out to eat on my birthday. something i really took for granted BUT this is the first time will be in summer for me because its summer here! so pool party on my birthday!!!
